A colour research project exploring the dynamic interplay between grounded, earthy mineral palettes and sharp, highly saturated digital accents.
Investigating how colour relationships provoke atmospheric shifts and emotional resonance. The study interrogates how identical tonal arrangements react across diverse textile constructions, woven structures, and translucent finishes.
Moving beyond isolated colour swatching, palettes were tested as relational chromatic ecosystems. Subtle gradients of mineral grey, weathered blue, and clay brown were deliberately disrupted with high-energy digital red and deep plum to alter perception.
The project concludes with a master colour board, 3 distinct palette systems, 6 print colourways, material translucency tests, and applied fashion and interior simulations supported by an analytical colour rationale.
